I used to have a Metalcore band called At War With Myself from around 2012 - 2015; I originally wrote this to be a "soft" song for that band, but I never even got to show it to the guys.
I decided it would work for my solo stuff, so I wrote some lyrics and released a One Man Band Playthrough Video on September 15, 2021.

Originally, I was gonna start releasing more demos, but some comments helped me realize with just a few simple tweaks, these tracks could be "release worthy", and so I've strived to release singles more frequently.

Since I'd already posted a One Man Band Playthrough Video, I decided I would shoot a Music Video for this song. It was a challenging process, but a lot of fun since I also have a passion for Filmmaking.

The song is about how easy it is to fall into a routine and "sleepwalk" through life, and so, rather than just "dreaming" about our wants and desires, the lyrics encourage to "wake up" and take action in making our dreams come true.
The Music Video reflects this by showing a character trapped in a bedroom, but the key to escape is something he's had all along without realizing it.
